Attleboro Community School (ACA) Security Officer
Location: Attleboro High School
Workday/Year:
Monday through Thursday
2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on days when classes are in session
Description:
Under the general supervision of the administration, provide security in a high school setting.
Essential Functions:
- Monitor building activity to ensure student safety by walking the building frequently.
- Monitor parking lots and cafeteria as needed.
- Stand outside before and after school to oversee students entering and leaving the building; boarding buses; etc.
- Assist in de-escalation of student to student conflict.
- Assist in student search when applicable.
- Assist administration in monitoring of cell phone pouches
- Any other duties as assigned by the administration.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to de-escalate student to student conflict and student to teacher conflict.
- Friendly, comfortable working with high school students.
Certification/License:
ALICE (or equivalent) Safety training preferred
Safety Care (or equivalent) Restraint training preferred
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
